Epic Magazine #9

This is the Tau issue and with a whole lot more on the evolution of Epic Armageddon. There is a follow-up article on Deathstrike missiles.

The article on Epic Armageddon provides more information on how JJ is changing the Epic rules to give individual units more flavour and individuality. The move from detachment to formation is covered and I have to admit I like the idea of formations rather than the SM model of individual units (if I wanted to play games with individual units then I would play with 28mm miniatures - rant over). It also tells you that you can download a test set of the rules from the GW website.

With the release of the exqusite Forgeworld Tau the mag provides the first part of the Epic 40K rules and I have to admit that the rules seem very balances. I was worrying (especially after what I had heard aout WH40K Tau) that the Tau would be "too" good, but the rules look good. Oh I wish I had the money (and the time to paint) a Tau army... maybe one day when they come out in metal, but the Forgeworld models are really really nice and I have always liked the Barracuda.

My mate Simon will like the Deathstrike Missiles article and following my Ork Trukk Coonversions with a Big Missile there are quite a few ideas for my Orks.

Again nice pictures on the inside covers and on the back and I do like the 28mm photo on the cover as well.

Nice issue.
