Netflix App

Netflix - Netflix, Inc.

I am using Netflix and it uses up all my broadband monthly usage, how can I make Netflix use less?

If you have signed up to Netflix and use it on your Mac or your iPad, if you have a limit on how much you can use your broadband (a bandwidth or data cap) then you may find that you either run out, or go over.

Netflix will stream the best quality video it can depending on your broadband connection. For HD video this can as much as 2.3GB per hour!

You can set the video quality so that it uses less data.

You have to do this on the web version of Netflix, it isn't possible to do this on the iPad app.

From the homepage, click Your Account & Help.

Under Settings select Manage video quality you will then see this screen.

Netflix video quality settings

You have three choices:

Select the option you require and click Save.
