Using FaceTime on the iPad
iOS comes with a built in function called FaceTime that allows you to easily communicate through sign language without the need of other devices or software.
On the iPad you can start a FaceTime call using the FaceTime app.
You can also start a FaceTime call when looking through your contacts. In the Contacts app, tap the FaceTime button to place a FaceTime call to the contact you are viewing.
Macs with built in cameras, the iPad 2, the iPhone and the iPod touch all have FaceTime capability.
An Apple ID is required to use FaceTime on devices other than the iPhone.
Windows PCs or other phones are not able to use FaceTime and you would need to use an alternative such as Skype.
