The sea is an resource waiting to be exploited. In the near future we can expect the sea and the seabed to be utilised as fully as the land. We can expect to see mines, farms, power stations, whole communties on the seabed.

Transportation to and from the surface will be needed, not just for personnel and their families, but also, construction materials, raw materials, the mined ore, etc...

Underwater is the domain of the submarine.

These valuable resources, installations and submarines will need to be protected from attack, not only, by foreign powers, but also other corporations.

Attack subs and killer subs will duel under the sea.

We cannot see through the murky depths of the ocean bed. Submarines use sound to see through the darkness of the water. Sonar...

Nuclear powered submarines (SSNs) and Electric powerered submarines (SSKs) under the sea battle it out for underwater supremacy.

One of the major problems with being under the water is that we are working with three dimensions. In order to facilitate ease of play, the basic rules ignore the third dimension; the advanced rules contains details for playing in the third dimension and also utlising thermal layers.
