Advanced Rules - Seabed Installations

Mining and other activities require a permanent seabed base of operations. Home to a few people, a few hundred or even thousands, they are like small hamlets or major cities. As might be expected they need protection from raids and even major attacks. They are normally defended by point-defense systems and larger installations will even have their own subs.

In deep water, seabed installations are impractical and expensive, though there is a need for some kind of permanent base, in these cases a sea station is placed, which floats at a certain depth. They are similar in many ways to space stations.

Advanced Rules - Surface

So far we have concentrated on sea vessels below the surface. Most naval powers also have numerous surface ships and aircraft capable of ASW.
