Ork Wartrakk III

This workbench article is how I painted my third Wartrakk. Go to the latest updates.

For information on how I painted my original Wartrakk look here. You can see how I painted another one here. This model was originally designed for Gorkamorka, and then became part of Warhammer 40K with Codex Orks.

The model was built with the crew left off for painting separately. The Big Shoota stayed with the gunner. I used some of the Ork glyphs from Forgeworld and gave the model a white undercoat. I would have preferred if the glyphs were cast in a similart vein to the Inquisitor purity seals, but they're not, they have quite a thick backing.

The metal components were painted black.

Having waited for the black to dry properly I drybrushed first with Tin Bitz and then Boltgun Metal.

Generally I try and be neat, but sometimes I will paint over the white undercoat, but I have found you don't need to worry about this too much.
